A speed limiter, also called a speed governor, is a hardware device fitted to a commercial vehicle that physically caps its maximum speed so it cannot exceed a set limit. On modern vehicles with electronic throttle control, an electronic governor limits the throttle signal; on older diesel trucks and buses, a mechanical fuel-type governor limits the fuel delivered to the engine. Either way, once installed and calibrated — for example to 80 km/h for a heavy goods vehicle — the vehicle simply cannot go faster, even if the driver presses the accelerator harder. IOTee installs, calibrates, and seals the device, then links it to GPS tracking so the capped speed and location appear together in your fleet dashboard.
